Underwater Pipelines
Regardless
of what they transport; fresh water, wastewater, oil or gas, underwater
pipelines are exposed to destructive impacts of seas. They are
considered as special structures since they constantly interact with
seabed in addition to continuous dynamic loads imposed on them by waves and currents.
Misconceptions in estimating design
loadings may easily result in damaged pipelines or unexpectedly high
construction costs.
Underwater
pipeline design team of ARTI Proje has large experience gained in
wastewater outfall projects from whole Turkish coastline, from
Mediterranean to Black Sea. Our team has also worked in oil and gas
pipeline projects, cooling water discharge systems and
water intake structures of thermal power plants. Our advanced
numerical modelling capability enabled us to carry out precise load
analyses for submerged pipelines. Until now, many national and
international consulting and contracting groups have employed our
expertise in their projects.
Our scope of
services for underwater pipelines is not limited to
stability related calculations. Dilution and transport of discharged
matter is also one of the subjects we frequently deal with. We provide
significant contributions to environmental impact assessment studies
of wastewater treatment plants and power plants by investigating the
impact of discharges on ambient water quality and temperature.
